I doubt Nebula will be the one to kill Thanos (if he even dies), but I would LIKE her to be the one that does.
It would serve the story well for two reasons.
Firstly, Nebula is a supporting character and if she is the one to suddenly step up and deliver the final blow to the villain, that would be a nice change of pace.
But more importantly…
It would be poetic justice.
Nebula is one of the only remotely significant characters the MCU has
introduced us to that has a reason to want to kill Thanos beyond the
fact that he is trying to destroy half the universe. Most of the heroes
we will see in Infinity War have never even met Thanos until this point.
But Nebula? Nebula was raised by Thanos, tortured by Thanos, and is now
a cyborg because of Thanos.
Nebula may have
been a pain in the butt for the Guardians of the Galaxy, but what she’s
really after is revenge not against Gamora but against the Mad Titan
who made the majority of her life a living hell. I would love to see her
exact that revenge.
