It’s possible, but likely improbable.
The
main flaw with the MCU is that they’re ultimately (as Adum of YMS
describes them) “cookie cutter” in terms of filmmaking as they focus
more on pleasing the masses and superhero fans, where as The Dark Knight is solely built on the vision of one Christopher Nolan.
That’s fine by the standards of a normal crowd-pleasing blockbuster, as I personally love the MCU as a fan.
However, I have to admit which is the better product in terms of what makes an actual film, which goes to The Dark Knight Trilogy.
Back to topic though, I really doubt that Infinity War is going to be the best superhero film of all time, even with all of the hype that surrounds it.
Forget The Dark Knight.
What about the other MCU movies?
Is Infinity War going to have the same quality as Iron Man?
Is Infinity War going to have the same undertones as The Winter Soldier?
Is Infinity War going to have the same heart and soul as the Guardians films?
The answer to all of these is: unlikely.
If Infinity War can’t satisfy those criteria, how could it possibly be better than The Dark Knight?
