  • Step away from the Fish out of the Water thematic: Been there done that. It gave some great moments in the first one, but now Diana must be used to the Human World by now.
  • Keep Patty Jenkins: The woman knows what she’s doing. The No Man’s land scene, the dance scene in the snow: it’s obvious that Jenkins has a great artistic vision. Getting rid of her would a monumental mistake.
  • If possible, adress the Second World War: Considering what we’ve seen in Wonder Woman, WW2 brings up a lot of questions: Where was Diana ? Is the outcome of the WW2 in the DCEU the same that in our world ?
Isn’t that the proof that Ares was right all along (that even without him, humanity would carry on slaughtering each other) ?
  • Don’t make her “full badass”: What was well thought with Wonder Woman is that Diana is a strong woman, but she still keeps a regular human behavior when there’s no action. To make her full badass all the time would cut any empathy we can have with the character.
  • Include parts of the DCEU only when it’s relevant:
If Diana has to borrow a piece of Wayne’s technology to move the plot forward, I’m fine with it. But don’t put the Flash, Superman or a Green Lantern just to please the DC fans. It has to remain Wonder Woman’s movie, not a series of teasers of the next DCEU movies.
  • Be soft on the punch fights and be smart:
It was one of the only problems I got with Wonder Woman, the traditionnal fist fight with Ares at the end.
That was too much and way too basic.
Whereas Doctor Strange at least tried something else for its finale and won big time:
  • Adress the burden of being immortal in a world that is mortal:
From what we’ve seen in Wonder Woman, Diana is at least more than 120 years old. She’s committed to save lives, but to be immortal and ultimately any one she saved die in the end, should at least be on her mind.
I don’t necessarily want something tragic or a depressed Diana, but we can’t pretend this wouldn’t affect her either.
  • Most of all, don’t include HIM: No seriously, please don’t.
